Application Could Not Be Uploaded to the Device Xamarin.ios
Why does PCL not support System.Net.WebProxy?
Why is System.Net.WebProxy supported in the device projects only not in a PCL? In a PCL, I'grand forced to implement my own via IWebProxy. This works so I'thousand but wondering why it is necessary. Is there some best practice that says this should exist washed in the device layer rather than the PCL? Since it is the same regardless of device (right?), not sure why this would be the case.
Any clever ideas to modify bundle identifier based on configuration?
Multiple imports in project.json of netstandard1.4 project?
How-do-you-do,
i am currently trying to convert our Xamarin.Forms App (with all the subprojects) to .netstandard 1.4. The problem i am facing is that nosotros have multiple internal and external dependencies that are still portable form libraries with different profiles. I know that i can add an "imports" entry in the project.json framework section and enter one PCL contour (see below). That works just fine. But because our dependencies are dissimilar pcl profiles i thought i would just alter imports to an assortment of strings and thats it. Only the problem is, that if i alter it to an assortment the project is no longer a netstandard projection simply becomes a portable class library again targeting .net4.half dozen, asp.net cadre i.0 and uwp. Is this the expected behavior? Can a .netstandard projection just include portable class libraries from a single kind of pcl profile (e.one thousand. Profile7)?
Working:
"netstandard1.iv": {
"imports": "portable-net45+wp8+wpa81+win8"
}
Not working:
"netstandard1.4": {
"imports": [
"portable-net45+wp8+wpa81+win8",
"portable-net45+win+wpa81",
"portable-net45+win8"
]
}
Multiple build targets (Visual Studio)
A little groundwork: I am edifice the next version of the Waitress.com apps in Xamarin as a shared project (the old apps are "regular" native apps). Waitress is a eatery order alee app popular in Stockholm, Sweden, looking to expand. As part of the expansion strategy, waitress.com has started white labeling apps for big restaurant chains (only all restaurants still appear in the waitress apps.).
Every chain app is exactly the same as the current waitress app, with a single codebase, git repo, etc. There are only three things that differ: ane) The app proper noun/id (and thus also push button notifications), two) a filter that only shows restaurants and receipts for this chainId, and 3) app icon and splash screen.
Every time we release a new Waitress.com app we would like to build apps for each concatenation we have signed deals with and release them at the same time (iOS/Android/UWP).
For "regular" iOS we use build targets to use a separate .plist to achieve this. What would be the best way to do this with Xamarin and Visual Studio?
I saw this thread just I am wondering whether there is at present a meliorate/dissimilar way. Using preprocessor directives seems best to me, at the toll of including images we do not employ, but I am a lilliputian uncertain how that tin can requite me unlike app names and app icons, some guidance there would be much appreciated. The other approach, with separate .csproj files would fix that, but seems more complicated, I am not sure I fully understand what could become incorrect with that approach.
Any assist will be much appreciated!

Push button Notification with Firebase not working
Hi, I think already did everything that is necessary to utilize firebase remote push notification. I get the token but when I ship a bulletin from Firebase Panel nothing happens in the client device. The OnMessageReceived is never trigged, fifty-fifty when the app is foreground.
My google_app_id is different from the mobilesdk_app_id in the google_service.json , is that correct ?
I'm testing on emulator with Android 7.1.ane API Level 25, Google APIs Intel Atom (x86).
I created MyFirebaseIIDService.cs and MyFirebaseMessagingService.cs based on examples that I found, filled the AndroidManifest.xml file with the receiver tags. Am I missing something?
Thank you

Do yous need to do something special to get custom fonts working?

ActivityIndicator freeze when I change the ItemsSource of my listview
Hullo everyone,
I brandish an ActivityIndicator while I refresh the listview on my page but I set up the new ItemsSource to my listview, the ActivityIndicator freeze during the set.

TargetFrameworkVersion mistake
I have been trying for a long fourth dimension to compile one of the visual studio Xamarin templates in social club to deploy on a Galaxy 5 with Android 6.0 (API 23).
But always receive this error message.
Severity Code Clarification Projection File Line Tool Warning The $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for App2.dll (v7.0) is greater than the $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for your project (v6.0). Y'all need to increase the $(TargetFrameworkVersion) for your projection. App2 J:\Aplicativos_Mob\App2\App2\App2.csproj
I´ve already tested some solutions I read in this forum, with no success.
1) I have reviewed the csproj project file, to manually change a configuration,
two) I tried not to install Android API 24 and API 25 within the Android SDK manager,
3) I tested with both version of Coffee sdk (i.7 and 1.8)
I used to program this device inside Xamarin Studio (PC version) one year ago. In this time, the phone was a Kitkat (API 19).
I´thousand running in VS 2015.
Any ideia?
Thanks
